Problem Statement

How might we allow AI developers to explore profiles more efficiently? 

Reusability

Often there is not a single source of digestible profile data. This means developers usually start from scratch, even when existing schemas and attributes exist.

Visual Record

Once discoveries have been made, developers don't have a common way to store those examples nor the ability to visually adjust and try different parameters.

Timeline

It's not easy to view how attributes change over time and how their schemas may affect those attributes. This however, can be very impactful in defining profiles.

Filling in for product management and with two designers, I led the product roadmap, design workshops, and user research. In this capacity, I served as both a mentor and a hands-on contributor evolving the user experience.

Early Exploration
Profile-of-One began as a series of backend AI services. The story was resonating and selling with customers in commerce, healthcare and financial services. Our CTO saw an opportunity for a new product and pulled me in to facilitate the project from the design perspective as well as fill in for product management.

I began with a series of workshops with the CTO, lead developers, subject matter experts and our designers. We focused in on the user story, "As an AI developer, I would like to explore the attributes in a profile so that I can more efficiently create additional profiles.

I often see higher level thinkers nodding yes in agreement with new ideas, but when the team starts to sketch things out and see things visually, we can then begin to truly align.
